Units #6000-6020 built by EMD in 1987, units #6021-6062 were built by GMD in 1989. SOO #6000-6041 are painted SOO Red/White, while SOO #6042-6062 are painted in the SOO Red paint scheme.

SOO 6000-6020 have all been returned to the Lessor CIT, while #6221-6262 are almost all renumbered into the #6221-6262 group.
